In Part 1 of this presentation series, participants will identify developmentally-appropriate assessment tools to support preschoolers with and without disabilities and categorize data by four purposes for school decision-making (Screening, Progress Monitoring, Diagnostic and Program Evaluation). Participants will then apply these decisions within tiered Early Childhood team structures to enhance planning for all learners, including: school-wide initiatives, classroom staff collaboration, individual problem-solving and family engagement practices. Let us make data more ‘playful’ for all you ECSE professionals, including some crucial EC-specific areas: relationship building and team teaching!

Participants are strongly encouraged to register for and attend Part 2 on February 11, 2025.

Learner objectives

Participants will categorize data by the four purposes of assessment that drive decision-making for schools (Screening, Progress Monitoring, Diagnostic and Program Evaluation). The focus for part one will be on Screening + Program Evaluation.

Participants will be able to identify team structures to efficiently implement data-informed planning across Early Childhood programming (school-wide initiatives, classroom teaming, individual problem-solving and family collaboration)
