As an early childhood professional, your goal is to help your students learn and thrive in the classroom and at home. STAR NET Region II offers high quality learning experiences to help meet your continuing professional development requirements for state licensing and certification. Financial assistance may be available to help cover costs of attending workshops and conferences or for establishing a special study group with colleagues and/or parents.
Our staff is also available to support early childhood programs on site with training and technical assistance. We can work with your team to design training content based on your needs, and support leadership teams in planning for professional development on a variety of topics. Some often requested topics include: Early childhood curriculum, assessment, inclusive practices, early literacy and early mathematics, preschool classroom environments and adaptations, family support, and many others. In order to schedule training or technical assistance, please contact the STAR NET office and speak with a Resource Specialist to form a professional development plan.
