We all think we play well with children, but do we? This two day workshop will focus on strategies that enhance interactions in our play-based assessments and in interventions with young children. Eliciting developmental skills without "testing" is often a challenge. Participants will analyze videos to determine what strategies are effective. It is recommended that attendees have previously attended a TPBA 2 training if they are attending this event as a means of improving their assessment practices.

Individuals will need to be present and participating for both days - February 20 and 21 - in order to receive 10hrs of CEs.

Learner objectives

1) Participants will understand the key elements of play.
2) Participants will be able to observe and support successful play interactions.
3) Participants will demonstrate knowledge of effective communication and play strategies.
