Differentiation of instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including those with disabilities, involves being intentional in the use of multiple practices to ensure our students can access learning experiences in the inclusive classroom. Planning for differentiation includes creating an environment that is intentionally welcoming and accessible to all, providing choices for students to access their learning and demonstrating their understanding of the topic or skill. Differentiation requires collaboration and interdependence among administrators, staff, students and family members as they plan learning experiences that are adapted to provide multiple access points for learning. In this four part book study webinar series, participants will explore different approaches to differentiating instruction for students with disabilities in the developmentally diverse classroom.
