Book Study: A four part webinar series exploring the book Universal Design for Learning in the Early Childhood Classroom, 2nd Edition. The series will focus on proactively designing PreK through Grade 3 classroom inclusive instructional environments. The study will include the exploration of methods for using assessment information that teachers can use to accommodate the needs of all the students in their classrooms. The book features language and examples to elevate discussions about inclusion and access, with an anti-bias focus, trauma-informed practice, strength-based approaches, and family partnerships.
DATES: January 28, February 25, March 18, April 8
You must be present at all four sessions in order to receive CEs. 10hrs of CEs will be awarded for full participation

Learner objectives

1. Participants will develop a stronger understanding of the core components of Universal Design for Learning in the Early Childhood Classroom

2. Participants will learn methods for using assessment information that teachers can use to accommodate the needs of all the students in their developmentally and culturally diverse classrooms. 

3. Participants will be provided language and examples to elevate discussions about inclusion and access, with an anti-bias focus, trauma-informed practice, strength-based approaches, and family partnerships. 

4. Participants will have the opportunity to begin developing a plan for implementation of UDL at their school.
