** This cohort series is being offered in collaboration with STAR NET Region VI **

As we begin the second half of the school year, we are continuing our cohort group. We invite all early childhood special education teachers new and veteran to the field to join in the discussion of developmentally appropriate practices that inclusive early childhood programs should have in place. Topics will include a deeper dive into supports for social emotional competence in young children and practices to support teachers’ overall effectiveness in handling the many demands of their classroom.

This session will focus on Preparing for Next School Year.

In order to be successful in your learning and teaching practice, we strongly encourage participants to register and attend all webinars in the cohort series. However, credit for attendance will be given for each webinar individually.

Learner objectives

1. Implement developmentally appropriate social-emotional practices for inclusive settings.

2. Reflect on ways to create a more effective classroom to support the differing needs of both children and staff.

3. Discuss with colleagues and share ideas to implement effective and appropriate teaching strategies.
