This IN PERSON workshop will introduce participants to the Prevent-Teach-Reinforce for Young Children manualized system of positive behavior intervention and support. The session will walk participants through the process and introduce how to use the manual and manualized materials to facilitate each step of the PTRYC process.

Learner objectives

- Participants will learn the 5 steps associated with the PTRYC process and understand how the steps build on each other through the process.
 - Participants will be able to clearly identify functions of behavior and recognize how functions link to challenging AND appropriate replacement behaviors.
 - Participants will understand how the key components of a positive behavior support plan (Prevent, Teach and Reinforce) are used to shape and change behavior.
 - Participants will be able to use the PTRYC Manual to guide their team through the PTRYC process.
