Did you know that social emotional, literacy and language development occur on a parallel path? Well, they do! When we find ways to connect these areas through everyday routines, we increase opportunities for ALL preschoolers to practice and master these skills. Books are a great way to engage children and if we don’t leave the story in the book, we can provide many fun opportunities for children to strengthen their skills across these areas of development. You will leave this webinar with many fun ideas for promoting early literacy and language skills such as vocabulary, alphabet knowledge, phonological awareness, and rhyming - while also strengthening emotional literacy, friendship, and problem solving skills!
