We can look to nature for an ideal example of the beauty and benefits of diversity and inclusion. Additionally, research tells us that a connection with nature promotes health, development, and well-being and is especially important for young children and even more-so for children with disabilities. However, outdoor time is often the first to go when we get bogged down by other classroom responsibilities. This workshop is designed to reconnect you with your roots of nature appreciation and plant the seeds of ideas of how to get outdoors, connect with nature, overcome common challenges, and gain a better understanding of the benefits nature has for children with and without disabilities.
