Participants will learn multiple strategies for making classroom activities engaging for all learners while increasing social interactions. Resources and strategies will be shared on how to differentiate during whole group instruction to ensure all learners can participate and gain necessary language/literacy/ and social-emotional skills. The goal of these strategies is for all students to feel a sense of belonging and inclusion in their learning environment. Participants will learn a variety of supports, including teaching routines throughout the day, visual cues, adaptive materials, props, story maps/scripts, and peer partners, to successfully participate in all activities. Participants will also learn how these supports reduce challenging behaviors by ensuring all children can participate with their peers throughout the day. Resources will be shared on ways to engage families to promote these skills at home. This content is appropriate for early childhood providers and teachers of children ages 2 yrs- 8 years.
